Isaiah 40:4– Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
Rational, reasonable thinking would suggest that such radical, extreme Earth-changing events such as the violent upheavals we read about in the Bible (see verses below) are just doom and gloom rhetoric. Symbolic. Perhaps an exaggeration of local or regional catastrophes into “global” significance.
Even the most faithful must wonder about the literalness of mountains being leveled. I try to accept what is in the Good Book, but some things seem so unlikely, it doesn’t really ‘internalize’. We may intellectually understand the words, but ‘buying into it’- not so easy.
Because I have a need for at least some level of understanding or explanation for HOW- I was excited to recently discover scientific information explaining that the Earth turmoil we read about is not only possible, but also quite likely. Because of the Sun.
Everybody understands that the big fireball lights and heats the world- but there is so much more. The big fireball- which really isn’t a fire but rather a giant nuclear reaction- emits light, heat, electricity, plasma, radiation, magnetism, and gravitational waves- to name a few.
In other words, the Sun affects and influences basically everything that happens in our Solar system- including tectonics.
The Sun and Earthquakes: The Challenge
In this link, there are several videos that explain the relationship between the Sun and earthquakes. Ben Davidson of “Suspicious 0bservers” (referenced extensively below) provides this information.
Could our sun emit killer superflare?
This article discusses the possibility of the Sun producing a “superflare”- something modern science has previously thought to be impossible. A solar superflare would have effects on the Earth that goes far beyond auroras and electrical disturbances. (From Aarhus University, Denmark)
The Suspicious 0bservers website. It has a premium pay side, but the free side has numerous excellent videos and real-time seismic activities. There is also a daily video presentation summarizing the day in space weather, solar activity and Earth events .

This is their YouTube page with links to the daily video update, and other video material from Suspicious 0bserver.
This video is one of those recent daily updates I included because of a report from one of the leading solar research teams from Japan confirming that our Sun CAN produce a superflare:
The next important thing to understand is solar cycles. The sun has many cycles relating to solar activity. There are 11 year, 88 year, 2400 year, and 12,000 year cycles to name a few. These cycles involve sun spots, solar storms, maximums and minimums, etc.
Solar Minimum Correlates with Volcanoes & Earthquakes
This article discusses pretty much what the title says.
Climate Change – Earthquakes Caused by Complex Cycles (Part I)
This article gives extensive examples of the correlation between solar cycles and major earthquakes.
This is a technical research paper published in the Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics (2012). There are numerous charts and graphs illustrating the cycles and the correlated effects.
Conclusion: There is little doubt in my mind that the research proves a causal relationship between solar activity and seismic activity. Why does mainstream science never mention this? Politics. Money. Politics and money.
Simply put, you cannot tax the sun, regulate the sun, or legislate “solutions” to sunlight. Unlike carbon and CO2, which we allegedly can. We cannot give the sun any credit in the current political climate.
Saying the sun has no effect on climate change is like saying a border wall has no effect on border security. Stupid.
And now, (finally) THE POINT: (or the bad news) We are approaching a rather unique point in time when ALL of the sun’s numerous cycles are going to intersect. The implications are unknown, but Ben Davidson has some ideas that are absolutely possible.
If you noticed from the illustrations I included, the crust (the surface we live on) is a very thin layer riding atop a massive liquid mantle. The mantle surrounds the iron core. The iron core is, of course, magnetic. The mantle and crust are not.
The crust and inner core are solid, the mantle and outer core are liquid. All of these separate layers, in different states and composition, rotate at the same speed together. Ben Davidson explains why.
These layers are separated by boundaries that are not unlike Saran wrap. If you try to slide one sheet of Saran wrap across another, there is too much surface friction to do so. It is the same way with the layers of the Earth.
A superflare would interact with the magnetic core, likely affecting it’s rotation. It could change the rotation speed, or even reverse its direction. Like the two saran-wrapped surfaces, the friction would have major disruptive effects. The energy would radiate outward, causing violent interactions between the mantle and crust in turn.
The result would be unimaginable.
Think if you violently shook a cherry pie. The filling would be perturbed, but the crust would be broken all up.
The crust of the Earth would be similarly affected, breaking into large chunks, knocked all around, some pieces flipping completely over. Earthquakes in divers places eh? Can you imagine the tsunamis?
And, according to Mr. Davidson, all of this would occur in one day.
The great and dreadful day.
Caused by… Ezekiels’ Fire (superflare)?
Revelation 6:12-14– 12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Revelation 16:17-21– 17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. 19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
Malachi 4:1– For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
Isaiah 30:25-26– 25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. 26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
Zechariah 14:10– All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
Matthew 24:7– For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Luke 21:11– And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Luke 21:25– And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
