I have to admit, I allowed myself to hope. Even though deep down I knew it was a fools errand, human nature nevertheless instinctually prods us to hope. To have faith in justice. To believe that somehow, some way, good always eventually prevails over evil.
It doesn’t. At least, not in this realm.
We’ve been lucky/blessed/fortunate to have lived in such a rare time when good people had influence. When justice was respected. To have that inner assurance that if things get bad enough, “they” will come and put a stop to it.
When Satan took Jesus up to the mountain-top and offered him the world- it was a legitimate (though ridiculous) temptation. Legitimate because he COULD have delivered the world to him. He rules the world. (Ridiculous because the Ruler was offering the kingdom to the Creator and owner of the kingdom). Jesus reigns- Satan rules.
The rich, powerful elites- in all of their various incarnations and nomenclatures- have pretty much always run things. The nobility, the bourgeoisie, priests, rulers, elders, oracles, chiefs and warlords- have always managed to rule the common man and control the resources. 1776 was a disruption in their force.
Even though they were down, they have always been intent on regaining control. Ruling the world. Nowadays they are the ‘bureaucrats’, the ‘Rothschild’s’, the ‘Illuminati’.
Butchers and bankers and missile-stick makers. They have regained control. We have recently begun to call them by a well-deserved moniker- the Deep State.
Oft-revealed, sworn against, protested- they intentionally allow us a little hope that we may someday escape their capture. They throw up this illusion of vulnerability so that we continue to hope for eventual victory- compelling us to press forward in the fight- so they can rob us of the wealth we create in the pursuit of Truth and Justice and Freedom.
But we tend to forget, until this age is over, Satan and his minions are in control.
Even though we in America tend to put our political hope in heroes like Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, JFK, Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump- we always eventually end up in the same place- Evermore.
Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Bull Moose- all fade away to the real power- the Deep State.
I know there was a lot of hope in Donald Trump and a global “Liberty Movement” draining the swamp- but if we examine the facts what we see is:
- the rich don’t pay taxes
- the politically-connected don’t go to jail
- public criticism of the elite is not allowed
- the rules only apply to us
- if you fight the power, you will lose
