Just when things are looking one way, the opposite shows up. It is showing up everywhere!! My big brother who retired not long ago, kept working as much as his pension would let him. Diagnosed with cancer and went through the first round of treatment for medicare to deny the second round! Well it came through, and he will get to start round two. I don’t think insurance that is seldom used until absolutely needed, then they deny you is what pensioners have in mind. We ended up getting a new grandaughter 5 weeks early to bring her home on the 4th!! The lil firecracker is home! Moving back and forth between ILL. and IND. We find good old Medicare, Medicaid, didn’t get the memo that the paperwork glitch was supposed to be in order. This was all over inquiring about foodstamps, which we cancelled. So after nothing changed, because we didn’t continue with foodstamp application, they cancelled everything else. So I went in and got the state of Indiana squared away, they obviously didn’t tell social security, who decides to dock me $350 out of the $863 that we live on and pay bills and eat with. Don’t you just love the MANDATES that are against the law? This is not the first time I have danced this dance. The Fed pulls out over $100 per month for insurance, and now it is my job to find a provider, or they just keep taking out the money, and give it to no one. I called in once awhile back after making a little money to find they take the money and don’t seem to care where it goes, as long as I don’t get it. The woman on the phone was clueless, and no matter how polite I was, she hung up on me when she never addressed the issue of where my money was going. I got no paperwork on finding insurance, except once at the beginning of one year. If you get dropped in the middle of the year, they just take it out, and we get to make it active, or they just take it out and keep it. This is compliments of obammycare mandates. If I do not go to Dr. for pain meds, I have no reason to go, after hip replacement, and post op meds the blood pressure mellowed out on its own. Having been disabled a long time, one might think it is tolerable, but I never found it so. There is a small window between extreme poverty, and poverty where you might think you can get ahead, that is the point they dock you dollar for dollar. I haven’t seen the figures lately, but being almost 60 Indiana doesn’t lend much to eat on. I know we hear about people eating steak and lobster, but those of us without a slew of kids have to skip several meals, or spread a $7 steak out over several days. We have only used foodstamps a couple times, we paid 23 doctor bills on $297 a month waiting on disability to come in. There is not much choice in getting a lawyer, no matter how incompetent.
Went to welfare office, problem was supposed to be solved, but because we did not pay landlord separately they had it down as my income. It might get my reimbursement in several months. This madness did not kick off until obammy. Now all your info can be had by all in seconds. Imagine getting pulled over and the cop recites your medication list before speaking to you. Yes it has been fun.
